The flower filled gardens at Cantigny Park create a romantic background for engagement photos in the Chicago suburbs! Kristin and Mike’s summer engagement session really showcases the beauty of Cantigny Park at peak season.
These two first crossed paths at a high school party – Kristin loved Mike’s curly hair and the way he made her laugh. They lost touch, but reconnected on Instagram (love the power of social media!) after college and started dating. Five years later at a lantern festival in Wisconsin, Mike asked Kristin to be his wife. In Kristin’s words – “it felt like a dream!”
You’ve got a lot on your plate with planning a wedding. Spending time driving around or Googling like crazy to find photo locations you love doesn’t need to be added to your list. Every couple I work with receives a guide (with pictures!) of the very best spots for engagement photos. Or, if you have a specific vision in mind, I’ll do the heavy lifting and scout locations for you. Saving you time during this busy season of life is key.
Kristin really wanted photos with beautiful, colorful flowers. After walking through Cantigny’s gardens, I sent Kristin some photos and she agreed – this fit her vision perfectly!
After hugs and hellos, we walked through the garden together. These two cozied up among the ornate flowers and got comfortable in front of the camera! We photographed cuddles and kisses among the vibrant wildflowers and the elegant roses. Then we walked through the expansive grounds, catching sweet moments by the pond, willow tree, and historic McCormick House.
Kristin and Mike will marry on July 4th, so we lingered after sunset and ended our time together with a few fun sparkler photos. It was the perfect conclusion!
